Thursday, October 22, 1998
The Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development met at 3:36 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Charles Caccia, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Charles Caccia, Aileen Carroll, Yvon Charbonneau, Bill Gilmour, Jocelyne Girard-Bujold, John Herron, Joe Jordan, Karen Kraft Sloan, David Pratt, Paddy Torsney.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Monique Hébert and Christine Labelle, Research Officers.
Witness: From Environment Canada: Len Good, Deputy Minister.
Pursuant to Standing Orders 110 and 111, the Committee commenced its consideration of the Order in Council Appointment P.C. 1998-1372 of Len Good, Deputy Minister of the Environment.
At 4:13 o'clock p.m., the Vice-chair, Bill Gilmour, took the Chair.
At 4:53 o'clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
