The Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights met at 3:37 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Shaughnessy Cohen, presiding.
Member(s) of the Committee present: Eleni Bakopanos, Chuck Cadman, Shaughnessy Cohen, Paul DeVillers, Ivan Grose, Derek Lee, Peter MacKay, John Maloney, John Reynolds and Jacques Saada.
Acting Member(s) present: Lou Sekora for Reg Alcock, Sheila Finestone for John McKay, Jim Gouk for Jim Abbott, Daniel Turp for Michel Bellehumeur, Gérard Asselin for Richard Marceau.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee met to consider a motion by Peter MacKay, M.P.
Peter moved, -- That the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights conduct an independent review into PMO's relationship with the RCMP.
John Reynolds moved, -- That the motion be amended by adding the following words: "Solicitor General Canada and Foreign Affairs Department" after the words Prime Minister Office.
After debate, the amendment was agreed to.
After debate, the motion as amended, was negatived by the following vote:
