Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the Clerk of the Committee presided over the election of a Vice-Chair.

On motion of John Nater, it was agreed, — That David Christopherson be elected Second Vice-Chair of the Committee.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 2, 2017, the Committee resumed its review of the House of Commons electronic petitions system.

Charles Robert made a statement and, with André Gagnon and Jeremy LeBlanc, answered questions.

At 12:28 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:35 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 2, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of the use of Indigenous languages in proceedings of the House of Commons.

The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a report.

At 12:54 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
