Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, January 28, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of initiatives toward a family-friendly House of Commons.

Clare Beckton and David Prest made statements and answered questions.

ORDERED, — That the Chair be instructed to write to the House Leaders concerning the parliamentary calendar for 2017.

At 11:59 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:06 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That notwithstanding the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, the witness speaking notes be distributed to Committee members.

François Arsenault, by videoconference from Québec, Québec, made a statement and answered questions.

At 1:02 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
