Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, October 19, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of services and facilities provided to Members of Parliament with young children.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 12:04 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:08 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 2, 2017, the Committee commenced its review of the House of Commons electronic petitions system.

Charles Robert made a statement and, with André Gagnon, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the Committee request additional information from the House of Commons Administration in relation to its review of the electronic petitions system.

At 12:48 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:50 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Chair make arrangements for an informal meeting with a parliamentary delegation from Ghana during its visit to Ottawa.

It was agreed, — That, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2017, the Committee consider the Second Report of the Subcommittee on Private Members' Business in relation to Bill C-352, An Act to amend the Canada Shipping Act, 2001 and to provide for the development of a national strategy (abandonment of vessels); and, that Sheila Malcolmson, M.P., be invited to appear.

At 12:57 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
