Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (C) 2015-16: Vote 3c under Parliamentary Protective Service, referred to the Committee on Friday, February 19, 2016.

The Chair called Vote 3c under Parliamentary Protective Service.

The Speaker of the House of Commons made a statement and, with Michael Duheme and Patrick McDonell, answered questions.

Vote 3c under Parliamentary Protective Service carried.

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Vote 3c under Parliamentary Protective Service to the House.

At 11:48 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:53 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments
• Indira Samarasekera, Federal Member
Pursuant to Standing Orders 110 and 111, the Committee resumed consideration of the Order in Council appointments of the Chair and Federal Members of the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments, referred to the Committee on Friday, January 29, 2016.

Indira Samarasekera, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, made a statement and answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

The Committee resumed consideration of the motion moved by Scott Reid, on Thursday, February 25, 2016, — That the federal members of the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments be invited to appear before the Committee before the end of March 2016, to answer all questions relating to their mandate and responsibilities.

At 1:02 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
