Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 2, 2017, the Committee commenced its study of the use of Indigenous languages in proceedings of the House of Commons.

Charles Robert made a statement and, with André Gagnon, answered questions.

At 11:59 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:06 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Romeo Saganash made a statement and answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the briefing note entitled "Simultaneous Interpretation and Translation Services in the Legislatures of Selected Jurisdictions” be treated as a public document.

At 1:02 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
