Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, May 3, 2017, the Committee resumed consideration of the question of privilege regarding the free movement of Members of Parliament within the Parliamentary Precinct.

It was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to sit in public.

At 11:07 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:08 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Supt Mike O'Beirne made a statement.

At 11:12 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:13 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The witnesses answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the Acting Director of the Parliamentary Protective Service and the Acting Clerk of the House of Commons be invited to appear on Thursday, May 18, 2017, in relation to the study of the question of privilege regarding the free movement of Members of Parliament within the Parliamentary Precinct.

At 1:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
