Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a), the Committee proceeded to a briefing on the Parliamentary Protective Service.

Chief Electoral Officer’s report entitled "An Electoral Framework for the 21st Century: Recommendations from the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Following the 42nd General Election"
Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), the Committee resumed consideration of the report of the Chief Electoral Officer entitled "An Electoral Framework for the 21st Century: Recommendations from the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Following the 42nd General Election", referred to the Committee on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.

It was agreed, — That officials from Elections Canada provide a technical briefing to the Committee at an in camera meeting on Thursday, October 20, 2016.

It was agreed, — That on Tuesday, October 25, and Thursday, October 27, 2016, the Committee meet to continue its study of the Chief Electoral Officer’s report entitled "An Electoral Framework for the 21st Century: Recommendations from the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada Following the 42nd General Election".

At 1:03 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
