The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 11:02 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Derek Lee, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Stéphane Bergeron, Rick Borotsik, Marlene Catterall, Michel Guimond, Joe Jordan, Derek Lee, Paul Macklin, Grant McNally, Carolyn Parrish, Geoff Regan, John Reynolds, John Richardson, Jacques Saada and Tony Tirabassi.
Acting Member present: Libby Davies for Yvon Godin.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, research officer.
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of Bill S-10, An Act to amend the Parliament of Canada Act (Parliamentary Poet Laureate).
Paul Macklin moved, - That, Bill S-10 be made a votable item and that the Chair present a report to the House.
After debate, the question being put on the motion, it was agreed to on the following recorded division:
