The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 11:05 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Pierre Brien, Marlene Catterall, Cheryl Gallant, Yvon Godin, Michel Guimond, Jay Hill, Joe Jordan, Paul Macklin, Carolyn Parrish, Geoff Regan, John Richardson and Jacques Saada.
Acting Members present: Scott Reid for John Reynolds.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, research officer.
Witnesses: From the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer: Jean-Pierre Kingsley, Chief Electoral Officer; Diane Davidson, Chief Legal Officer; Holly McManus, Deputy Chief Legal Officer; Carol Lesage, Director, Parliamentary Representation.
Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), consideration of Referendum Regulation proposed by the Chief Electoral Officer, pursuant to the Referendum Act, S.C. 1992, c. 30, sbs. 7(6).
Jean-Pierre Kingsley made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
At 12:34 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
