The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 11:09 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Rick Borotsik, Pierre Brien, Yvon Godin, Michel Guimond, Joe Jordan, Geoff Regan, John Richardson, Jacques Saada and Tony Tirabassi.

Acting Member present: Dale Johnston for Garry Breitkreuz.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, research officer.

Witnesses: From the House of Commons: MGen. G. Cloutier, Sergeant-at-Arms. From the RCMP: Dawson Hovey, Commanding Officer "A" Division; Line Carbonneau, Officer i/c Protective Operations "A" Division; Roger Brown, Officer i/c Executive/Diplomatic Protection Section, Protective Operations "A" Division.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), consideration of security on the Hill.

Dawson Hovey made a statement and answered questions.

At 11:33 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
