The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 11:36 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Pierre Brien, Cheryl Gallant, Michel Guimond, Richard Harris, Jay Hill, Paul Macklin, Carolyn Parrish, Geoff Regan, John Richardson, Jacques Saada and Tony Tirabassi.
Acting Members present: Brent St. Denis for Joe Jordan; Gurmant Grewal for John Reynolds; Lorne Nystrom for Yvon Godin.
Other Member present: Stéphane Bergeron.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, research officer.
Witnesses: From the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer: Jean-Pierre Kingsley, Chief Electoral Officer; Diane Davidson, Chief Legal Officer; Carol Lesage, Acting Director of Communications.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(vi), the Committee proceeded to its consideration of the electoral boundaries readjustment process in Canada.
Jean-Pierre Kingsley made a short statement and answered questions.
