The Standing Committee on Industry met at 3:33 p.m. this day, in Room 701, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Eugène Bellemare, Antoine Dubé, Rahim Jaffer, Marlene Jennings, Francine Lalonde, Walt Lastewka, Ian Murray, Alex Shepherd and Susan Whelan.
Acting Members present: Beth Phinney for Walt Lastewka, Peter Mancini for Chris Axworthy, André Harvey for Jim Jones.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Nathalie Pothier, Research Officer.
Appearing: From the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec: The Hon. Martin Cauchon, Secretary of State, Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec. By unanimous consent, the Chair called Votes 55 and 60 under INDUSTRY.
The Honourable Martin Cauchon made an opening statement and answered questions.
Votes 55 and 60 were allowed to stand.
At 4:26 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 4:30 p.m., the sitting resumed.
At 4:30 p.m., Mr. Bellemare took the Chair.
By unanimous consent, the Chair called Votes 20, 25 and 65 under INDUSTRY.
The Honourable Fred Mifflin made an opening statement and answered questions.
Votes 20, 25 and 65 were allowed to stand.
At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
