Tuesday, December 8, 1998
The Standing Committee on Industry met at 9:04 a.m. this day, in Room 307, West Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Eugène Bellemare, Rahim Jaffer, Marlene Jennings, Jim Jones, Walt Lastewka, Janko Peric, Alex Shepherd and Susan Whelan.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Daniel Brassard, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Federation of Canadian Municipalities: James W. Knight, Executive Director; From the Canadian Water and Wastewater Association: George Terry, Vice President Information and Technology Ontario Clean Water Agency.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), a study on Information Technology: Preparedness for Year 2000.
James W. Knight and George Terry each made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 10:06 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
