The Standing Committee on Industry met at 9:05 o’clock a.m., this day, in room 253-D, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Eugène Bellemare, Antoine Dubé, Tony Ianno, Marlene Jennings, Jim Jones, Francine Lalonde, Walt Lastewka, Eric Lowther, Jim Pankiw, Janko Peric, Werner Schmidt, Alex Shepherd and Susan Whelan.
Acting Members present: John Bryden for Bonnie Brown

Pursuant to an Order of Reference of the House dated Tuesday, March 17, 1998, consideration of Bill C-20, An Act to amend the Competition Act and to make consequential and related amendments to other Acts.
Konrad von Finckenstein made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
Tom Wright, Raymond Pierce and Don Mercer each made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
At 11:23 o’clock a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
