The Standing Committee on Health met in a televised session at 11:14 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Bonnie Brown, presiding.
Members of the Committee present, André Bachand, Bonnie Brown, Jeannot Castonguay, James Lunney, Réal Ménard, Rob Merrifield, Hélène Scherrer, Judy Sgro, Yolande Thibeault and Judy Wasylycia-Leis.
Acting Member present: Hedy Fry for Stan Dromisky
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Nancy Miller Chenier and Sonya Norris, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Commission on the Future of Health Care in Canada: Roy Romanow, Commissioner; Pierre-Gerlier Forest, Director of Research.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), the Committee commenced its consideration of the work of the Commission on the Future of Health Care in Canada.
Roy Romanow made a statement and answered questions.
At 12:29 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
