MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 6

Wednesday, April 4, 2001

 

The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera at 3:37 p.m. this day, in Room 208, West Block, the Chair, Mac Harb, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Mark Eyking, Mac Harb, Pat O'Brien, Pierre Paquette, Bob Speller, Tony Valeri.

Acting Members present: Rick Casson for Gary Lunn

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Peter Berg.

The Sub-Committee proceeded to discuss its future business.

It was agreed - That in order to avoid the risk of inadvertently spreading Foot and Mouth disease, the Sub-Committee would refrain from travelling to London and Dublin in the context of its study of Canada's economic relations with Europe.

At 4:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
