The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:43 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Mac Harb, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Bill Casey, Mark Eyking, Mac Harb, Pat O'Brien, Pierre Paquette, Tony Valeri.

Acting Member present: John Duncan for Rick Casson

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Peter Berg and Michael Holden, Research Officers.

Witnesses: From the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade: Brian E Morrisey, Director General, Economic Policy Bureau; Ian Burney, Director, Trade Controls Policy Division; Louis Gionet, Deputy Director, Trade Controls Policy Division, Textiles and Clothing Section. Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Sub-Committee resumed its study of an assessment of WTO negotiating issues from a Canadian perspective, (See Minutes of Proceedings of Wednesday, January 30, 2002, Meeting no. 17).

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 5:02 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
