Meeting No. 23

Wednesday, February 27, 2002

The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:35 p.m. this day, in Room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Mac Harb, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Mark Eyking and Mac Harb.

Acting Members present: Gary Lunn for Rick Casson, Francine Lalonde for Pierre Paquette.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Peter Berg and Michel Holden, Research Officers.

Witnesses: From the World Federalists of Canada: Fergus Watt, Executive Director. From Rights and Democracy: The Honourable Warren Allmand, President.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Sub-Committee resumed its study of an assessment of WTO negotiating issues from a Canadian perspective, (See Minutes of Proceedings of Wednesday, January 30, 2002, Meeting no. 17).

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 4:52 p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
