The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:33 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Acting-Chair, Bob Speller, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Mark Eyking, Pat O'Brien, Pierre Paquette and Bob Speller.
Other Members present: Bill Casey and Wendy Lill.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Peter Berg and Michael Holden, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Canadian Council for International Business: Robert Keyes, President and Chief Executive Officer. From the International Trade Policy Consultants Inc.: Kathleen Macmillan, President, International Trade Policy Consultants Inc.. From the Canadian Apparel Federation: Elliot Lifson, President; Jack Kivenko, Member; Bob Kirke, Executive Director. From the Canadian Council for International Cooperation: Gerry Barr, President and CEO; Gauri Sreenivasan, Policy Coordinator. From the North-South Institute: Ann Weston, Vice-President. From the Dairy Farmers of Canada: Yves Leduc, Assistant Director, International Trade Department.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Sub-Committee resumed its study of an assessment of WTO negotiating issues from a Canadian perspective, (See Minutes of Proceedings of Wednesday, January 30, 2002, Meeting no. 17).
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
At 5:42 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
