The Standing Committee on Industry met at 9:32 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Antoine Dubé, Marlene Jennings, Walt Lastewka, Dan McTeague, Charlie Penson and Susan Whelan.
Acting Member present: John McKay for Gurbax Malhi.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw and Geoffrey Kieley, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Canadian Council for International Business: Robert Keyes, President and Chief Executive Officer; Milos Barutciski, Member, Competition Policy and Law Committee and Partner, Davies, Ward & Beck.
Pursuant to the Committee's mandate under Standing Order 108(2), a Review of the Competition Act.
Robert Keyes and Milos Barutciski made statements and answered questions.
At 10:45 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
