The Standing Committee on Industry met at 9:07 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Antoine Dubé, Marlene Jennings, Walt Lastewka, Gurbax Malhi, Dan McTeague, Ian Murray, Charlie Penson, Jerry Pickard and Susan Whelan.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Canadian Federation of Agriculture: Sally Rutherford, Executive Director. From the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers' Association: David C. Adams, Vice-President of Policy. From the Alliance of Manufacturers & Exporters Canada: Jayson Myers, Senior Vice-President and Chief Economist. From the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association: Fiona Cook, Vice-President, International Trade and Government Relations; Steve Stinson, Director, Finance and Business Issues.
Pursuant to the Committee's mandate under Standing Order 108(2), a study concerning Productivity, Innovation and Competitiveness.
Sally Rutherford and David Adams made statements and answered questions.
At 10:32 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 10:34 a.m., the sitting resumed.
