The Standing Committee on Industry met at 9:09 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Pierre Brien, John Cannis, Marlene Jennings, Jim Jones, Gurbax Malhi, Charlie Penson, Jerry Pickard and Susan Whelan.
Acting Member present: Tony Ianno for Walt Lastewka.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Canadian Bankers' Association: Tim O'Neill, Executive Vice-President and Chief Economist, Bank of Montreal; Edmée Métivier, Vice-President, Small and Medium Enterprises, Royal Bank of Canada; Alan Young, Vice-President, Policy.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), consideration of Business Lending to Small and Medium Sized Enterprises.
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
