The
Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 3:38 p.m. this day, in Room 308,
West Block, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.
Members of the Committee

Pursuant to its Order of
Reference of Tuesday, February 5, 2002, the Committee resumed consideration of
Bill S-7, An Act to amend the Broadcasting Act (See Minutes of Proceedings,
Wednesday, April 10, 2002, Meeting No. 48).
On Clause 1
The witnesses answered
questions
Christiane Gagnon moved, -
That the Clause by Clause Study of Bill S-7, An Act to amend the Broadcasting
Act, be postponed to enable other witnesses, in particular Radio-Canada/CBC and
Canadian Heritage officials to answer questions before the Committee.
The question being put on
the motion it was negatived on a show of hands.

It was agreed, - That Bill
C-54, An Act to promote physical activity and sport, referred to the Standing
Committee on Monday, April 15, 2002, be further referred to the Sub-Committee
on Sport, for consideration, and that the Sub-Committee report the Bill to the
