MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 65

Wednesday, May 22, 2002

The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met in camera at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Jim Abbott, Sarmite Bulte, Christiane Gagnon, Wendy Lill, Clifford Lincoln and Tony Tirabassi.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Sam Banks, Joseph Jackson, Terrence Thomas, research officers, Alan Cofman, intern.  Consultant: David Black.  Expert Advisor:  Marc Raboy.

Witness: From Keeble Consulting: David Keeble, Consultant.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on the State of the Canadian Broadcasting System.  (See Minutes of Proceeding, dated Thursday, November 8, 2001, Meeting No. 26).

The Committee commenced a technical briefing.

At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
