The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Colleen Beaumier, Leon Benoit, Stan Dromisky, John O'Reilly, David Pratt, Carmen Provenzano, Peter Stoffer, Bryon Wilfert, Bob Wood.
Acting Members present: Jean-Guy Carignan for David Price; Cheryl Gallant for Roy Bailey.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Michel Rossignol, Research Assistants.
Witness: From the MacKenzie Institute: John C. Thompson, Director.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on the state of readiness of the Canadian Forces.
The witness made a statement and answered questions.
At 5:25 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
