Meeting No. 49

Wednesday, March 20, 2002

The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 3:49 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Rob Anders, Claude Bachand, John O'Reilly, David Pratt, Elsie Wayne and Bob Wood.

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Michel Rossignol, Research Officer.

Witness: From The Naval Officers Association of Canada: Rear Admiral (Retired) Russell D. Moore, President.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on the state of readiness of the Canadian Forces.

The witness made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
