The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met in a televised session at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Colleen Beaumier, Leon Benoit, Cheryl Gallant, John O'Reilly, Janko Perić, David Pratt, Peter Stoffer, Elsie Wayne, Bryon Wilfert, Bob Wood.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Michel Rossignol, Research Assistant.
Witnesses: From the Department of National Defence: Keith Coulter, Chief, Communications Security Establishment; David Akman, Director, Legal Services; Barbara Gibbons, Director General, Corporate Services; Simon Gauthier, Deputy Chief, Information Technology Security.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on the state of readiness of the Canadian Forces.
Mr. Coulter made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
