The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Leon Benoit, Peter Goldring, Judi Longfield, John O'Reilly, David Pratt, David Price, Geoff Regan, Peter Stoffer, Elsie Wayne, Bryon Wilfert.
Acting Member present: Larry Bagnell for Bob Wood.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Michel Rossignol, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Department of National Defence: Alan Williams, Assistant Deputy Minister, Materiel; BGen Larry Lashkevich, Director General, Logistics, J4, Material.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), the Committee resumed its study on the state of readiness of the Canadian Forces.
Mr. Williams made an opening statement and, with the other witness, answered questions.
At 5:23 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
