The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 9:09 a.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Wayne Easter, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, John Cummins, Wayne Easter, Georges Farrah, Loyola Hearn, Dominic LeBlanc, Bill Matthews, Jean-Yves Roy, Paul Steckle, Peter Stoffer, Suzanne Tremblay.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Department of Fisheries and Oceans: Robert Bergeron, Director General, Small Craft Harbours; Yolaine Maisonneuve, Director, Harbour Policy and Program Planning; Micheline Leduc, Director, Harbour Operations and Engineering.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), meeting on Marine Infrastructure.
Robert Bergeron made a statement and, with the witnesses, answered questions.
It was agreed, - That the Committee table a brief report on small craft harbours in the House of Commons on or about November 27, 2001.
At 11:00 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
