The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met in a televised session at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Pat O'Brien, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Robert Bertrand, Hec Clouthier, Gordon Earle, Art Hanger, René Laurin, Judi Longfield, Pat O'Brien, John O'Reilly, Janko Peric and George Proud.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Corinne McDonald, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Department of National Defence: Alan Williams, Assistant Deputy Minister, Materiel; Richard Burton, Acting Assistant Deputy Minister, Material.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), the committee resumed its study on Contracting and Procurement Policy.
Alan Williams made an opening statement and, with the witness, answered questions.
At 5:22 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
