The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 9:02 a.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Pat O'Brien, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Robert Bertrand, Hec Clouthier, Art Hanger, René Laurin, Judi Longfield, Pat O'Brien, John O'Reilly, Janko Peric, George Proud and Elsie Wayne.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner; Corinne McDonald, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Defence Associations National Network: Vadm. Dan Mainguy, President; RAdm. Mike Saker, Member. From the Canadian Defence Industries Association: Robert N. Fischer, President; Paddy O'Donnell, VP Strategic Plan for CDIA and Joint Defence Procurement Council Representative.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), the committee resumed consideration of its study on Contracting and Procurement Policy.
The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.
At 10:43 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
