Minutes of Proceedings
The Chair presented the Seventh Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure. The Report read as follows:
Your Subcommittee met on Thursday, May 18, 2017, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:
1. That a vote on the Main Estimates referred to the Committee be held at the end of the meeting of Monday May 29, 2017;
2. That the Minister and officials be invited to appear before the Committee on Monday, June 5, 2017 in relation to the Supplementary Estimates (A) 2017-18; and
3. That, on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, the Committee commence a study of Bill S-233 and that the sponsors be invited to testify.
On motion of Larry Miller, it was agreed, — That the draft report be amended, in paragraph one, by replacing the word “end” with the following: “start”.
The Report, as amended, was concurred in and read as follows:

Robert Ashton, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, Daniel-Robert Gooch and Janik Reigate made statements and answered questions.
It was agreed, — That a letter be sent to Public Safety Canada and Transport Canada inviting them to present their comments in relation to Robert Ashton's testimony.
At 4:32 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 4:38 p.m., the sitting resumed.
Maryscott Greenwood made a statement and, with Alroy Chan, answered questions.
At 5:28 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
