Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Annual Report of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians, referred to the Committee on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.

David J. McGuinty made a statement and, with Rennie Marcoux, answered questions.

At 4:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:33 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, April 8, 2019, the Committee proceeded to a briefing on the 2018 Public Report on the Terrorist Threat to Canada.

The Minister made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 5:28 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:32 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, May 30, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of rural crime in Canada (M-167).

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Study on Crime in Rural Areas in Canada".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, not later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

At 5:37 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
