Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of the subject matter of Bill C-93, An Act to provide no-cost, expedited record suspensions for simple possession of cannabis.

Gordon Cudjoe, by videoconference from Toronto, Ontario, and Elana Finestone made statements and answered questions.

At 4:45 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:49 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 4:59 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:04 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the members of the Committee submit to the Clerk of the Committee all of their proposed amendments to Bill C-93, An Act to provide no-cost, expedited record suspensions for simple possession of cannabis, no later than 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Committee commence clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-93 on Monday, May 27, 2019, at 3:30 p.m. and the Committee continue to sit until all proceedings required to report the Bill to the House have been completed.

It was agreed, — That, the appearances of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness and the Minister of Border Security and Organized Crime Reduction in relation to the study of the Main Estimates 2019-20 be rescheduled to a later date on or before Wednesday, June 5, 2019.

At 5:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
