Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, the committee commenced its study of subject matter of Main Estimates 2024-25.

At 11:10 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $500, for the study of the subject matter of Main Estimates 2024-25, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,750, for the study of the subject matter of Supplementary Estimates (A), 2024-25, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed supplementary budget in the amount of $2,000, for the study of the postal service in Canada's rural and remote communities, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, for its meeting on Monday, June 10, 2024, in relation to the study of the federal government consulting contracts awarded to McKinsey & Company, the committee invites the Auditor General and her officials to appear.

It was agreed, — That, for its meeting on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the committee hold hearings in relation to the study of the federal regulatory modernization initiatives.

It was agreed, — That, for its meeting of Monday, June 17, 2024, the committee, for the first hour, invite officials from the Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer to appear in relation to the study of the Supplementary Estimates (A), 2024-25.

It was agreed, — That, for its meeting on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, for the second hour, the committee invite the President of the Treasury Board and her officials to appear in relation to the study of the Supplementary Estimates (A), 2024-25.

At 1:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
