The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the committee extend the deadline to submit recommendations to the clerk of the committee for the draft report on the National Shipbuilding Strategy study until 12 p.m. on, Thursday, February 29, 2024.

ORDERED, — That the clerk of the committee inform Dalian/Coradix that the committee sends for a) a copy of the number of joint ventures that Dalian and Coradix have gone into b) a copy of how many joint ventures Dalian and Coradix have gone into that were not connected to the Indigenous Set-Aside program; and that the documents be submitted to the clerk of the committee three weeks from Tuesday, October 31, 2023, by 12 p.m.

ORDERED, — That the clerk of the committee inform Dalian/Coradix that the committee sends for a copy of any audit or evidence requested by Public Services and Procurement Canada, as per the requirements of the Indigenous Set-Aside program, related to the work of Ritika Dutt and Amir Morv; and that the documents be submitted to the clerk of the committee three weeks from Tuesday, October 31, 2023, by 12 p.m.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite the CEO of Canada Post to appear at the earliest possible date, to discuss the findings of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada that Canada Post violated the Privacy Act, and other issues.

It was agreed, — That Canada Post would be invited to appear before the committee on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

It was agreed, — That the Chair write to Public Services and Procurement Canada to express the committee’s concerns about the delay in providing the documents requested on Tuesday, October 17, 2023; and that a response to the committee’s letter be requested by Tuesday, December 12, 2023, with revised dates for submission.

ORDERED, — That, notwithstanding the orders adopted by the committee on Thursday, November 2, 2023, in relation to the study of the ArriveCAN application and the summonses issued for Kristian Firth and Darren Anthony, the committee acknowledge their response that they are currently unable to appear before it; and that Kristian Firth and Darren Anthony be summoned to appear before the committee before Friday, February 9, 2024.

It was agreed, — That, until Kristian Firth and Darren Anthony appear before the committee before Friday, February 9, 2024, the committee not publicly disclose the response of Kristian Firth and Darren Anthony related to the summonses issued for Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

At 4:38 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
