The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the next item of business for the upcoming meetings be the consideration of a draft report in relation to the study of foreign interference and threats to the integrity of democratic institutions, intellectual property and the Canadian state.

It was agreed, — That the committee meet, in an informal meeting, with a delegation of members of the European Parliament’s Constitutional Affairs (AFCO) Committee on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. on the subject of transparency of the legislative process in Canada.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the upcoming study of the use of social media platforms for data harvesting and unethical or illicit sharing of personal information with foreign entities, members of the committee submit their lists of suggested witnesses to the clerk of the committee no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

At 4:49 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
