Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the committee commenced its study of the compliance of a minister with the Conflict of Interest Act.

The Minister made a statement and answered questions.

At 12:07 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:13 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Konrad Winrich von Finckenstein made a statement and, with Lyne Robinson-Dalpé, answered questions.

Motion

Damien C. Kurek moved, — That, in light of today’s media reports and Minister Randy Boissonnault’s testimony, the committee call on Stephen Anderson, Kirsten Poon, and representatives of the Ghaoui Group to appear before the committee individually and testify forthwith for no less than one hour each on or before June 20th, and that the committee seek additional resources to facilitate these meetings if needed.

Debate arose thereon.

At 12:51 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 1:00 p.m., the meeting resumed.

At 1:01 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 1:05 p.m., the meeting resumed.

The debate continued.

Amendment

Matthew Green moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “forthwith for no less than one hour each on or before June 20th, and that the committee seek additional resources to facilitate these meetings if needed” with the following “for one two-hour regular scheduled time meeting”.

Debate arose thereon.

Motion

Pam Damoff moved, — That the debate be now adjourned.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:
