Kirsten Poon and Stephen Anderson made statements and answered questions.
Yasir Naqvi moved, — That the committee proceed to sit in camera; and that Mr. Anderson share the name of the individual referred to with the committee.
Debate arose thereon.
The question was put on the motion and the result of the vote was announced:
YEAS: Parm Bains, Darren Fisher, Anna Gainey, Yasir Naqvi, Sonia Sidhu — 5;
NAYS: Michael Barrett, Larry Brock, Matthew Green, Dane Lloyd, René Villemure — 5.
Whereupon, the Chair voted in the negative.
Accordingly, the motion was negatived.
Larry Brock moved, — That the Chair prepare a report to the House outlining the questions that Stephen Anderson refused to answer, including the identify of Randy that is referenced in Global News reporting and text messages and the committee call Minister Boissonnault to testify for 2 hours within 21 days of this motion being adopted.
Debate arose thereon.
Matthew Green moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “within 21 days of this motion being adopted” with the words “at the resuming of the House on Monday, September 16, 2024”.

At 1:10 p.m., the meeting resumed.
By unanimous consent, the motion, as amended, was withdrawn.
Yasir Naqvi moved, — That, the committee order Stephen Anderson to produce all of the previously requested documents, in addition to the name referenced in today's testimony, and if those documents are not received by Friday, July 19 at 12:00 p.m., the Chair prepare a report to the House outlining the questions that Stephen Anderson refused to answer in writing and during testimony.
After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.
Michael Barrett moved, — That, in relation to the study of the compliance of a minister with the Conflict of Interest Act, Minister Randy Boissonnault be called to appear before the committee during a regular meeting on the week of September 16, 2024, for two hours.
Debate arose thereon.
Yasir Naqvi moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “for two hours” with the words “for one hour”.
After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Yasir Naqvi and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:

After debate, the question was put on the motion, as amended, and it was agreed to on division.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $3,450.00, for the study of the compliance of a minister with the Conflict of Interest Act, be adopted.
At 1:18 p.m., the meeting was suspended.
At 1:33 p.m., the meeting resumed.
It was agreed, — That, in relation to the access to information request received by the RCMP and communicated to the Committee on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, to which documents related to the Committee’s proceedings are not responsive, the Committee instruct the clerk to authorize disclosure of said documents, with the understanding that they remain protected by parliamentary privilege.
It was agreed, — That the documents received from minister Randy Boissonnault in relation to the motion adopted on Thursday, June 6, 2024, be submitted to the Office of the Law Clerk of the House of Commons to be redacted in order to ensure the protection of personal information; that the unredacted version received by the committee be considered confidential; and that the redacted version by considered public.
At 1:33 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
