Thursday, December 2, 1999
The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 11:31 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Maurizio Bevilacqua, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Maurizio Bevilacqua, Scott Brison, Ken Epp, Albina Guarnieri, Sophia Leung and Paul Szabo.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Odette Madore and Jean Soucy, Researchers; Marion Wrobel, Senior Analyst.
Witnesses: From the Bloc Québécois: Gilles Duceppe (Laurier--Sainte-Marie), Leader; Yvan Loubier (Saint-Hyacinthe--Bagot), Finance Critic; Antoine Dubé (Lévis-et-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière).
In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its Pre-Budget Consultations. (See Minutes of Proceedings, Tuesday, November 2, 1999, Meeting No. 2).
Gilles Duceppe, Yvan Loubier and Antoine Dubé made statements and answered questions.
At 1:16 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
