The Standing Committee on Finance met at 9:06 a.m. this day, in the Ballroom, Empire Landmark Hotel, Vancouver, the Acting Chair, Karen Redman, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Roy Cullen, Sophia Leung, The Hon. Lorne Nystrom, Karen Redman and Monte Solberg.

In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its Pre-Budget Consultations. (See Minutes of Proceedings, Tuesday, November 2, 1999, Meeting No. 2).
Maureen Shaw, David Chudnovsky, Jim Gaskell, Jennifer Orum, Philip Owen and Don Avison made statements and, with the other participants in roundtable I, answered questions.
At 10:44 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 10:50 a.m., the sitting resumed.
Chief Jules, John Winter, Jock Finlayson, Peter Fraser, Grayden Hayward, David Bassett and Herbert Grubel made statements and, with the other participants in roundtable II, answered questions.
At 12:29 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
