The Standing Committee on Finance met at 1:09 p.m. this day, in the Ballroom, Empire Landmark Hotel, Vancouver, the Acting Chair, Karen Redman, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Roy Cullen, Sophia Leung, The Hon. Lorne Nystrom, Karen Redman.

Acting Members present: Pierre de Savoye for Yvan Loubier; Jim Jones for Scott Brison.

In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its Pre-Budget Consultations. (See Minutes of Proceedings, Tuesday, November 2, 1999, Meeting No. 2).

Seth Klein, Marc Lee, Kerry Rudd, Jim Fulton, Robert Milbourne, Larry Odegard and Wayne McGrath made statements and, with the other participants in roundtable I, answered questions.

At 2:38 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 2:44 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Vanessa Geary, Linda Mix, Corinne Lonsdale, Greg Halsey-Brandt, Beth Johnson, Gerry Lloyd, Larry Legros and John Argue made statements and, with the other participants in roundtable II, answered questions.

At 4:02 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:09 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
