The Standing Committee on Finance met at 1:30 p.m. this day, in Montreal at the Hötel Inter-Continental Montreal in the Maisonneuve Room, the Chair, Sue Barnes, presiding.
Member(s) of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Scott Brison, Rahim Jaffer, The Hon. Maria Minna, Pierre Paquette, Pauline Picard, Tony Valeri, Wilfert Bryon.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Blayne Haggart, Marc-André Pigeon, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Canadian Council of Chief Executives: Thomas d'Aquino, President and Chief Executive Officer; David Stewart-Patterson, Senior Vice-President, Policy; Sam T. Boutziouvis, Vice-President, Policy and Senior Economic Advisor. From the Canadian Museums Association: Francine Brousseau, President; John G. McAvity, Executive Director. Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee continued its pre-budget discussions.
Thomas D’Aquino, Francine Brousseau, John Schmal, Dr. Denis A. St-Onge, Randall M. Williams each made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
At 3:17 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
