Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Tuesday, December 5, 2017, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-64, An Act respecting wrecks, abandoned, dilapidated or hazardous vessels and salvage operations.

At 3:37 p.m., Hon. Judy A. Sgro took the Chair.

John Weston, Frank Mauro, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, Ian Winn, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, Kyle C. Murphy, by videoconference from Olympia, WA, United States of America, and Troy Wood, by videoconference from Olympia, WA, United States of America, made statements and answered questions.

At 4:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:34 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Ken Paul, Chief Terrance Paul, by videoconference from Membertou First Nation (Sydney), Nova Scotia, Peter Luckham and Anna Johnston made statements and answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That members submit their suggested amendments for clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-64, An Act respecting wrecks, abandoned, dilapidated or hazardous vessels and salvage operations, to the Clerk of the Committee, before end of day on Thursday, February 22, 2018.

At 5:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
