Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Navigation Protection Act.

Al Kemmere, by videoconference from Nisku, Alberta, Raymond Orb, by videoconference from Regina, Saskatchewan, and Scott Pearce, by teleconference from Lachute, Quebec, made statements and, with Agnès Grondin, by teleconference from Lachute, Québec, answered questions.

Motion

By unanimous consent, Luc Berthold moved, — That the Committee immediately cease its study of the Navigation Protection Act.

The question was put on the motion and it was negatived, by a show of hands: YEAS: 3; NAYS: 6.

Chris J. Bloomer, by videoconference from Calgary, Alberta, and Michael Atkinson made statements and answered questions.

At 10:44 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
