The Standing Committee on the Status of Women met in a televised session at 11:01 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Marie-Claude Morin, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Stella Ambler, Niki Ashton, Joyce Bateman, Joan Crockatt, Anne-Marie Day, Roxanne James, Marie-Claude Morin, Tilly O'Neill Gordon, Hon. Judy Sgro, Susan Truppe and Wai Young.

Acting Members present: Mylène Freeman for Sana Hassainia.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Havi Echenberg, Analyst ; Laura Munn-Rivard, Analyst.

Witnesses: Royal Canadian Mounted Police Public Complaints Commission: Ian McPhail, Interim Chair, Chair's Office; Richard Evans, Senior Director, Operations; Lisa-Marie Inman, Director, Reviews and Investigations. Royal Canadian Mounted Police: Bob Paulson, Commissioner.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, the Committee resumed its study of sexual harassment in the federal workplace.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the motion adopted on Thursday, February 7, 2013, the Committee hear the testimony of more than two representatives from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Public Complaints Commission in relation to the study of sexual harassment in the federal workplace.

Ian McPhail made a statement and, with Lisa-Marie Inman, answered questions.

At 12:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:05 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Commissioner Bob Paulson made a statement and answered questions.

At 12:59 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
