At 9:54 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 9:58 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.
It was agreed, — That, in relation to Bill C-25, An Act to amend the Canada Business Corporations Act, the Canada Cooperatives Act, the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, and the Competition Act, the Committee meet based on the following calendar:
- Thursday, February 9, 2017: Bill C-25 - witnesses;
- Tuesday, February 14, 2017: Bill C-25 - Minister and officials from the Department of Industry followed by Committee Business;
- Thursday, February 16, 2017: Bill C-25 - witnesses;
- Tuesday, February 21, 2017: Bill C-25 - witnesses;
- Tuesday, March 7, 2017: Clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-25.
It was agreed, — That, in relation to Bill C-25, the members of the Committee as well as members who are not a member of the caucus represented on the Committee and independent members submit their proposed amendments to the Clerk of the Committee no later than Thursday, February 23, 2017.
It was agreed, — That, in relation to Bill C-25, the analysts and the Clerk of the Committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the Committee's website.
It was agreed, — That, in relation to Bill C-25, individuals and organizations be invited to submit a brief to the Committee, provided that it does not exceed five pages and be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
It was agreed, — That the House Committee on Industry, Science, and Technology travel to Washington and meet with government officials to explore mutually beneficial opportunities to create value added jobs.
