Meeting No. 9

Wednesday, November 27, 2002

The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in a televised session at 6:42 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Rick Borotsik, Geoff Regan and Jacques Saada.

Acting Members present: Ken Epp for Dale Johnston; Libby Davies for Yvon Godin.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Principal; Margaret Young, Research Officer.

Witness: From the House of Commons: Marlene Jennings (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—Lachine).

Pursuant to its mandate under Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii), the Committee resumed its consideration of matters related to the inclusion of a code of conduct in the Standing Orders of the House.

Marlene Jennings made a statement and answered questions.

At 8:08 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
